When working out, don’t rush through weight or general exercise repetitions. For the best result, do them slowly. Make sure you can actually feel the resistance. Try to resist doing them as quickly as possible. Once they get too tired this is a common mistake for people to make.

When jogging or running, make sure you meet your goal distance. Walk the rest of the way if you get too tired. Walking is still very good for you. At the very least, it is much preferable to just giving up and going home once you are worn out.

If the place you need to go to is within walking distance, walk there. Do so if you live in an area where being on the road without a car is safe. Walk to the store rather than driving there. If you own a bike, ride your bike there.

Following a regular fitness routine is a great way to help reduce stress. By channelling any negative energy into exercise, the body releases endorphins into your bloodstream, relieving stress, loosening tense muscles and improving your overall mood. Choose a moderate intensity fitness routine that you enjoy and exercise 3 to 5 times a week, for about 30 minutes per session.

When working out, is it important that you drink plenty of water. Drinking water while working out will maintain proper hydration, which is vital during any heavy exercising. Being hydrated will help you to work out harder and you will be able to exercise for a longer period of time. Always keep a water bottle with you and just keep drinking!

Watching what you eat plays an important part of fitness. You should eat 5 small balanced meals of protein, grains and dairy and fruit or vegetables each day. In between meals, you should eat small snacks. All of these foods should be low in sugar and saturated fat.

Clog dancing is a fun way to get fit, lose weight, and reduce stress. The basic motion to clogging is to bounce up and down by bending at the knees and pushing downwards through the feet into the ground, then rebound upwards. Train like Kenyan runners if you are a runner and would like to build endurance and speed. The first third of your run go slowly. The middle third start running at your normal pace. At the end run faster than normal. Each week slowly increase your starting pace, and this will help to increase your normal and fast pace, too.

If you want to speed up your swimming, build up the flexibility in your ankles. When you are in the water, your feet perform like flippers. So, the more flexibility in your ankles, the quicker you can move through the water. A great way to build flexibility in your ankles is to lay on the floor, point your toes straight out, then flex them back towards you.
